For info: Big Fat Gypsy Disco is intended to be a positive
celebration of Gypsy and Roma inspired music from the
Balkans, Turkey, the Mediterranean and beyond, along with
Slavic, Arabic and Jewish tunes of a similar tempo if not strictly
Roma in origin. It has no connection with any TV programmes
you may have seen, except in my wish to reclaim the name
and use it in tribute to the inspiring people I've met of
Gypsy, Roma and Traveller heritage and their communities.
